# PNG to ICO input-limit evidence

This archive contains the exact synthetic PNG fixtures used in the local Chrome run, the successful ICO downloads, the recorded UI results, and a directory-entry decoder.

1. Extract this archive.
2. Upload each file under `fixtures/` one at a time to https://svgtopix.com/png-to-ico/.
3. Compare the page result with `results/ui-observations.json`.
4. For each downloaded ICO, run `node decode-ico-directory.mjs path/to/file.ico`. It reads the ICO directory entries, validates PNG payload signatures and dimensions, and prints JSON. It requires Node.js and no added package.

The 10 MiB boundary fixtures contain a CRC-valid ancillary `tEXt` chunk to reach exact file byte counts. They are synthetic controls, not typical image files. The recorded run was performed against a local copy of the current SVGTOPIX site source in Chrome. It is not a cross-service benchmark.
