Higher quality usually means a larger file. JPEG is lossy; transparent areas become the selected background.

A SMALL TOOL. A CLEAR JOB.

Convert SVG to JPG,
without the extra steps.

This SVG to JPG converter rasterizes your vector artwork in your browser. Choose dimensions, a background and JPEG quality, then download.

JPEG is lossy and does not support transparency. Transparent areas become white by default, or your custom background color. For a transparent result, use SVG to PNG.

How to change SVG to JPG

Drop or choose one self-contained SVG, or paste complete SVG code and select Use SVG code. Set width and height or choose a scale. Keep ratio preserves the original proportions. Pick white or a custom background and convert SVG to JPG.

SVG to JPEG quality

The quality slider runs from 1 to 100, starting at 90. Higher values usually preserve more detail and increase file size; lower values can introduce compression blocks, ringing and color changes, especially around text and sharp edges. File size is not guaranteed to change monotonically. Quality changes compression, not output dimensions. A setting of 100 is still not lossless.

Supported SVGs & limits

Uses the same browser SVG renderer as the SVG to PNG page: paths, shapes, gradients, masks, clipping, filters, installed-font text and embedded PNG/JPEG images. Input: one SVG up to 10 MB. Output: up to 8,192 pixels per side and 16 million pixels. Rendering uses the original high-quality 2× working canvas before JPEG encoding.

Use self-contained SVGs. Scripts, animation, foreignObject, external images and web fonts are rejected. Outline text for consistent lettering. Existing shapes drawn as a background remain in the image. No batch conversion, accounts or history.

A few useful answers.

Is SVG to JPEG the same as SVG to JPG?

Yes. JPG and JPEG are extensions for the same format. This tool exports real image/jpeg bytes with a .jpg filename; it does not rename a PNG.

Why did the transparent area become white?

JPEG cannot store an alpha channel. The canvas is filled with white or your selected custom color before the SVG is drawn. For an alpha channel, use SVG to PNG.

What JPEG quality should I use?

Start with 90 and compare the preview with your source. Lower quality may produce a smaller file with visible artifacts. Use PNG when lossless output and crisp text matter more than JPEG file size.

Are my files uploaded?

No. SVG decoding, canvas drawing and JPEG encoding all happen in your browser. Your original SVG remains unchanged.
